Los Reyes Country Club

Los Reyes Country Club offers tests for even skilled golfers on a golf course amidst the mountains of the Central Valley.

Robertson Ward & Associates designed the nine-hole golf course at the Los Reyes Country Club, and none other than Fred Staples built it over 2,917 yards – or 2,721 yards “for women.” Over 18 holes, the gender-friendly golf course has a par of 70 for men and 74 for women and plays on well-maintained and attractive fairways that lead to equally well-tended greens. The club also offers a driving range and putting green.

Cariari Country Club

This championship George Fazio designed course was founded in 1973. The land was once a coffee plantation. It is heavily wooded with narrow fairways and only a few fairway bunkers. The Bermuda grass greens are fairly large, fast and well-bunkered. One of the best in the country.

Hacienda Pinilla Golf Course at JW Marriott

This course is nestled along the north Pacific coast of Guanacaste on Langosta Beach in the most exotic setting. The rolling coastal landscape gives the resort a unique “ranch-like” ambiance. The 7,500-yard, par-72 masterwork, was created by Mike Young offers superb playing conditions by the sea.

Garra de Leon Golf Course at Playa Conchal

Nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the tropical forests of Guanacaste, Robert Trent Jones II’s challenging golf course is located on the magnificent grounds of the Westin Playa Conchal. This course something of an ecological treasure as it snakes from the sea to the hills of an old teak ranch and then back to the sea again, finishing with a bending par 5 that arcs like a lion’s claw to the last pin.
